Shakedown Cruise - Ebook Cover Art

Freelance cover art commission. The Hope Island Chronicles Book 5 by PJ Strebor. The author wasn't happy with the cover his publisher came up with and commissioned me to give it a major overhaul. The background was changed, both ships were seriously altered (colour change, form change), and a whole lot more. In fact, the only thing that stayed the same was the layout of the ships' locations, every other aspect of the ships, background, laser blasts, and even font were changed. He didn't want a full cover w/spine, but asked for a double width ebook cover instead so there was still a place for the back blurb. As the front cover background came from the back cover of another of his book covers, I had to completely create a new back cover to try and make it as seamless as possible.
